The risk of war, even nuclear war, has increased. Finland and the world are prosperous and rich, but at the same time there is poverty, unemployment and inequality.

The World Socialism Forum, held for the 15th time in China, will convene on November 3–4 to discuss international politics, new dimensions of socialism, and changes at the crossroads of world history. Jiri Mäntysalo, Vice Chairperson of Communist Party of Finland (SKP), will travel to Beijing to attend the forum and participate in academic seminars in other Chinese provinces.

The Communist Party of Finland condemns attempts to narrow democracy. The persecution of communists is an attack on the entire labour movement and on the fundamental rights of citizens. SKP stands in solidarity with the Communist Party of Poland.
