European Left Party (EL) and its 40 member party’s express their solidarity to the world’s indigenous people. EL stands on the side of the Saami people by approving the Communist Party of Finland´s motion on indigenous rights in the 5. Congress of the EL in Berlin 16.-18.

Euroopan vasemmisto (EV) ja sen 40 jäsenpuoluetta osoittivat Berliinissä edustajakokouksessa solidaarisuutta maailman alkuperäiskansoille. EV asettui tukemaan saamelaisten taistelua perusoikeuksista hyväksymällä Suomen kommunistisen puolueen (SKP) aloitteen alkuperäiskansojen oikeuksista ja ILO 169 ratifioimisesta. EV:n viides edustajakokous järjestettiin Berliinissä 16.–18.12.
