Janina Paasonen is a member of Helsinki District committee (CPF/SKP) and columnist of Tiedonantaja newspaper. At the EL meeting Paasonen presents “Red Rainbow” initiatives on LGTBQI-parenthood rights and CPF/SKP initiatives on transsexual rights, everyone’s right to self-determinate own gender and right to a so called third gender.

Communist Party of Finland expresses its full support for the people of Cuba, who are struggling amidst power outages and damage of the Hurricane Oscar. The challenges Cuba faces, such as the collapse of the power grid, food shortages, and the scarcity of medicine and fuel, are the result of the unjust trade embargo maintained by the United States.

The most dramatic aspect concerning Finland's sovereignty in the Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) is that troops and weapons systems will be brought here whose use will be decided by the US and, if it so wishes, exclusively by the US, says Yrjö Hakanen chair of the Helsinki district committee of the CPF.
