SKP / CF of Finland condems banning of the Communist Party of Ukraine
JP (Juha-Pekka) Väisänen Chairman of the Communist Party of Finland strongly condemns serious attacks against democracy and the banning of the Communist Party of Ukraine by the Kiev District Administrative Court (18.12.2015). Banning the CPU is result of in May 2015 procedures when the Ukrainian Parliament passed legislation prohibiting and making the use of communist symbols punishable by law.
- To ban the Communist Party of Ukraine
is a totally undemocratic political decision by the reactionary and
ultra-conservative government of Ukraine. We have for a long time observed different
attacks against freedom of expression. Banning of CPU is setback for international class struggle as well as for all
the forces of the left in Europe and Ukraine, says Väisänen, the chairman of
the Communist Party of Finland
